I’ll be completely honest.
I spent most of 2020 refreshing the news to see how many COVID-19 cases my state had every day, but also to see whether or not when we were getting that second stimulus check.
To get only $600 dollars at the end of the year was quite the bummer.
We’ve been fortunate enough that my husband is considered an essential worker and had a steady income throughout the pandemic. The only inconvenience we had was not being able to go out to our favorite places without a mask, or maybe Starbucks was closed for a day.

The complex interdependencies of the vast number of ecosystems on this planet are something we often overlook. People, plants, and animals are intertwined with the non-living environment they inhabit. The human body also has a similar makeup of complex interdependencies to keep us healthy such as the cardiovascular system, the lymphatic system, and the nervous system. If one of them is out of balance or has an issue, the whole body is compromised.
So if earth’s ecosystems are related in this way, why do we not think of planetary health and the changing material infrastructures that come along with it?

That one time we all thought 2020 was going to be OUR year.
I think it’s safe to say that 2020 has been a turning point for generations to come. This isolated, anxiety-ridden, viral year has worn us all down and changed our lifestyles dramatically. Not only have things changed locally, but the whole world has drastically modified how we interact with one another.

The Israel-Palestine conflict is one of the most prominent problems in political science, international relations, and foreign policy we have today. Introductory conflict resolution and foreign policy classes are scattered with literature on this topic. However, since the beginning of the occupation in June of 1967, no one has been able to create a solution for these groups of people to live in peace.
Peace talks and numerous humanitarian efforts have strived to do just that, as well as special educational programs, such as the Hand in Hand School in Jerusalem. They have all come up fruitless. As Azoulay and…
There are many reasons we might conceal something we don’t want others to learn about us. If I know something someone else does not, it gives me the opportunity to manipulate my environment or change my actions to keep myself in power, empower others, or even remain at the status quo. Likewise, if the information is withheld or concealed, I cannot act in such a way to better myself or choose differently.

“…nothing is more meaningful than the quest for meaning, the mystery of meaning, how meaning originates and occurs-as well as the meaning of our responsibility for others and for the organic, material, and technological world we inhabit. Phenomenology is about wonder, words, and world.” — Max Van Manen 2014
I spend hours contemplating life. Sometimes I just sit up late at night and get an overwhelming feeling of anxiety.
Who am I?
What am I here for?
One could say there is a phenomenon of meaning amongst all humans. …
Searching for the meaning to life while discovering it from the inside out.
