I think there is too much going on in our responses here to respond in a way that is beneficial to our viewers. Maybe instead we create an article about a specific topic and respond on that specific topic. I think this would be much better for us and for our viewers. We have more than a few topics here and it's difficult to write so little when the topics we are talking about here are so huge.

Would you be up for that? If so, what should our first topic be?

Also, it seems like you're really excited about a VLCD because you lost so much weight and are much healthier now. I am so happy to hear that.

In contrast, I have been eating a fairly high carbohydrate, low fat diet for almost 8 years. I reversed chronic cystic acne, had a healthy pregnancy and baby, and am also thriving. My blood markers are also excellent and get better as the years go on.

Honestly, I don't think either of us are really wrong. Humans can live on a high-carbohydrate low fat diet, OR they can have a high-fat low carbohydrate diet. This is because insulin resistance is caused by having too much of both of these together. It makes sense your insulin response is fine because you don't eat a lot of carbohydrates. Mine is also good because I don't tend to eat a lot of fat.

However, the only diet that has been scientifically proven to actually reverse insulin resistance is a high-carbohydrate low fat diet, and we've known that since the early 1900s.

Weight loss alone does not promote long term good health.
